From Kent Loudon at 2005-11-15 05:11:37 : Lovely clouds! If you had used a faster shutter speed I would have given it a "10"!
From Tony at 2005-12-26 23:21:54 : I liked your photographs it took me back to when I was a trainspotter and to when I was a fireman on the LMS Thanks
From Alan Chambers at 2006-01-08 14:53:26 : If I'd had a faster shutter speed! The little 35mm camera I used only went up to 1/300th - so why was I trying to photograph speeding trains? Youthful optimism.
From Nick Melling at 2006-01-23 07:47:40 : WEhat a fantastic site, excellent photographs, brings back plenty of memories, thanks very much
From Jon Walton at 2006-02-26 23:09:46 : Greetings from 'down under' Great pix. brought back many memories of Highbridge/S&D/childhood memories and the Ian Allen ABC' books heavily underlined, being in strife with Mum in particular as I'd come home covered in soot & grime - looking back, we did have a good time and thanks Alan for re-creating those good days - ce'st la vie. Happydaze & regards
From Neil Tiley at 2006-03-02 18:00:48 : Lovely shot of the Severn Bridge. An excellent composition with the river and quite fitting seeing this picture on the day of the Severn Bore.
From Martin Gee at 2006-03-05 23:34:52 : Alan An excellent site with some great photography. You seem to capture the human element of railways with many shots.
From Chris Larkin at 2006-05-14 20:57:47 : Lovely shot. It takes me back to my childhood looking at all these splendid photos.
From Michael at 2006-12-01 19:18:02 : Another nice shot. At that age all I had was a cheap little 120 box camera with B & W film, dreadful for the typically heavy overcast conditions of that time. I remember being in the cab of "Britannia" in April 1964 on a trainspotting special excursion, all fired up and simmering away. Would have loved to crack the throttle. I got that chance years later on the SSR in Ontario, albeit on a much smaller engine.
